Youth Basketball Programs at House Crew

House Crew offers youth basketball programs and basketball training in the Greater Toronto Area. Our carefully crafted training sessions aim to instill a love for the game while fostering essential skills such as discipline, resilience, and leadership.

Our programs focus on individual skill development while also encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. We strive to create a positive and supportive environment where athletes can connect, learn from one another, and celebrate their shared passion for basketball.

 
 

Youth Basketball Group Training

Our youth basketball group training programs are geared toward athletes looking to learn and improve their basketball skills in a group environment.

Guided by the Canadian Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) system and Canadian Basketball Athlete Development (ADM) model, our programs teach young athletes basic fundamental movement and basketball skills in a safe, fun and healthy learning environment.

We focus on the FUNdamentals:

I. Fundamental Movement Skills

FMS provides the "building blocks" of physical literacy and activities. Categories include: balance, running, jumping, catching, throwing, skipping, leaping and hopping.

II. Foundational Basketball Skills

Basketball skills centred around ball-handling, shooting, offensive moves, defence, and inside play & rebounding.

III. Confidence and Self-Esteem

A safe environment where children can learn about success, failures, taking risks and supporting teammates.

Our upcoming Youth Basketball Group Training sessions will be delivered through our official Jr. NBA Youth Basketball program.

Basketball Player Development Training

Our basketball player development training includes private and small-group sessions designed for youth athletes looking to improve their skills at an accelerated pace.

We work closely with our athletes in creating a personalized workout program that includes SMART goal-setting, identifying areas of improvement and many repetitions. Each repetition is a building block for what you are trying to accomplish.

Our 3 Pillars:


I. Skill Work

Our skill workouts combine technical and functional game-like drills. We emphasize fundamental footwork, shooting, ball-handling, passing, offence, and defence. Immediate feedback ensures athletes remain accountable to their goals.

II. Fitness

We support balanced athletic development across all physical performance components, including agility, balance, coordination, strength, power, speed, endurance, and flexibility.

III. Game Awareness & IQ

Using mindfulness techniques, we help athletes understand the game through film study, basketball decision training, and small-sided games. Our 3Cs: Concentration, Confidence, Compete.

*All athletes must complete a personal assessment before the commencement of the program.
